Amy Lycett Personal Trainer, Transform Fitness UK

Picture by Neil Attard Hello, I am Amy Lycett – easy to recognise in a crowd as the short happy one.

I decided to be a personal trainer as I enjoy exercise coaching and encouraging you to achieve your aims. As a professional personal trainer I am fully insured and a qualified first aider. I am also a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).

Sunrise Walk team

Recently I designed and followed a training program to complete the Thames Hospicecare Sunrise walk (13.1 miles) with Pauline, Mandy and Sue. We enjoyed it so much, we kept training and went on to do the London Moonwalk Marathon. Raising over £500 for Breast Cancer by walking 26.2 miles at night in our bras!

I also enjoy running and have completed a number of half marathons, including Reading, Windsor and The Great North Run.

I have enjoyed training and competing in a number of different martial arts over the last 15 years. Previously a member of the GB jujitsu squad and winner of the National submission fighting championship in 2000. I am also a medal winner in kickboxing and judo tournaments, from gold to bronze and my collection is still growing. I now teach and train with Combat Academy UK and Wokingham Judo Club. Should you like I can teach kickboxing , self defence or martial arts in your sessions.

I worked in the Lake District as an activities instructor and still love the hills; I recently had a great holiday walking the Inca Trail in Peru. I now regularly work with clients using Nordic Walking.

I originally trained as a secondary school teacher, before becoming a research scientist for several years. I even have an award winning paper published (Click here to view). I now love my job, which is training you.

Enough about me, what would you like to do?

P.S. I am 35 years old, everyone always asks!
